ABOUT

The South Punta Gorda Heights Civic Association (Civic Association) is a Florida not-for-profit Corporation, initially incorporated on Friday, October 21, 1988.

 

Its purpose and objectives are to bring together at regular intervals, community members for the purpose of promoting and developing an interest in social interaction and the civic development of south Charlotte County, and to promote civic pride in the area by encouraging a positive community image.

 

Its mission is to provide a community-centric organization to:

  • Offer social events that bring together people in the community,

  • Welcome new residents,

  • Serve as a liaison to the Charlotte County Government and the Board of County Commissioners,

  • Advocate for community needs and improvements, and

  • Share information that is pertinent to those in the community.

 

The Civic Association manages the Charlotte County-owned South Punta Gorda Heights Civic Center located at 11200 First Avenue, Punta Gorda, FL 33955.
