2021-2022 News & Newsletters

FEBRUARY 2022 -- "We're Back!"

Things have been returning to normal as the epidemic has waned. The TOPS group resumed weekly meetings in the summer of 2020, with mask, social distancing, and disinfection requirements. Those restrictions were eventually eased as members were vaccinated and boosted. TOPS meetings continue to have an excellent attendance with over 25 members typically attending each meeting.

A successful Christmas theme dinner was held with an association auction that served as an excellent fund raiser. Potluck dinners take place the first Friday of each month through March 2022, and then will resume again in the fall.

Bingo, a major fund-raiser, started again in January and will continue to be offered each Thursday through mid-April. While the numbers of players are smaller, the enthusiasm is high because a small group increases the chances of winning.

A new Board was elected in December and is enthusiastically working to recruit new members and plan the 2022-2023 season.

There is a sense of optimism that is refreshing. We welcome returning and new members with open arms. The Association is here to support the community both from a social perspective and a news and community activist perspective. We look forward to seeing you at one of our upcoming events.

FEBRUARY 19, 2022 -- Chicken Dinner a Big Success!

More than 40 people enjoyed half-chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans and pie on Saturday. It was great to see many old friends and some new ones at this event.

Thanks to everyone who pitched in and made it work, especially Brenda G., Linda M., and Gail J. We could not have done it without you.

And we want to give a special thank you to Annette Patnode for donating her share of the 50-50 to the Association. Thank you, Ms. Annette!

We hope to see as many people as possible at our last potluck dinner scheduled for Friday, March 4th at 6pm. We are working on a guest speaker and hope to make the event as fun as the last one. See you there!
